Rigging Level 1 Course
Course Overview
A qualified rigger is needed during assembly/disassembly of cranes, when employees are engaged in hooking, unhooking, or guiding the load, or in the initial connection of a load to a component or structure and are within the fall zone
This course has been organized and developed based on the international applicable standards for Lifting and Rigging (OSHA 1926.1404; 1926.1425). The Course represents the American Health and safety standards and provides Organisations with global presence an internationally recognised health and safety training programme for their staff. The Course provides an excellent technical basic grounding in the main essentials of safe rigging operations for personnel.
Who Should Participate
For all multinational Organisations have rigging operations in their scope of work and need to improve the level of safety implementation during their work and prevent any undesirable accident coming from this kind of operations. The course is designed for qualified Riggers level 1, qualified Signal personnel and HSE Engineers.
Learning Outcomes
After successfully completing the course, the participants will be better able to
- Inspect rigging before use and determine when should be taken out of service.
- Identify and attach rigging with basic knowledge of hitch configurations, capacities, and basic knots
- Recognize associated hazards
- Signal operations
- Use various types of rigging equipment and basic hitches and their applications.
